AREAS OF COMPETITION
INTERVIEW
This is the opportunity for the judges to get to know the contestants. The interview will be fun, with questions about the contestant and what they like. Each contestant will stand in front of a panel of judges for two minutes, wearing the official pageant t-shirt, dark denim shorts, and white tennis shoes. You are more than welcome too accessorize with a white bow or headband. ABSOLUTELY NO MAKEUP is allowed for elementary contestants during interview. This area of competition is 40% of the contestant's score.
EVENING GOWN
This is the opportunity for the contestant to showcase their poise and confidence on stage. All gowns must be floor length; no cupcake or glitz gowns. This area of competition is 40% of the contestant's score.
RUNWAY FASHION
This is the opportunity for the contestant to have fun and show their personality on stage. Runway fashion outfit's are "high fashion outfits" of choice and can be a pantsuit, sundress, cocktail dress, high fashion off-the-rack dress, high low dress, or romper. We ask that you do NOT use props of any kind and no denim.
This area of competition is 20% of the contestant's score.
AGE REQUIREMENTS
Qualification and requirements for age groups are as follows:

Nevada Elementary contestants can be in
Preschool-5th Grade.

*5th Graders may chose whether they would like to compete in the Elementary Division or the Jr. High Division.
​
*Age divisions at state are based on your grade in the Fall of 2025. When competing at nationals, the contestants division is based on grade level in Fall 2026. Girls competing in the Pre-K/Kindergarten division MUST be in Kindergarten by
Fall 2026.
